Nike is the Greek Goddess of Victory, the messenger sent by the gods of victory and success.  She was the daughter of the Giant Pallas, and her mother, the River Styx.  She often appears with wings, when not accompanying the gods Athena and Zeus.

Kamala Harris is the living American icon LaHue chose as the embodiment of the Greek Goddess Nike.  Harris will stand out in history, as the first female vice president of the United States of America, an important victory.  Educated in the law, having been raised in the civil rights era, Harris continues her history of working for her community, and the nation.
