Artism4Autism

“Sea of Stars”  is the evolution of 4 years of planning and countless sketches.  It represents love, laughter and a caring community.  It is the everlasting love that Gloria has for her daughter Nina who was treated at the Autism Discovery Institute, the sweet laughter of the children in the playground, and the heartfelt caring for each other that each mural creature embodies as a representative of the different classrooms at Alexa's PlayC.  George Chiang from Rady Children's Hospital had met Gloria as a patron of her art and proposed a mural on campus many years ago.  With the help of Jared Blakely of the RCHSD foundation,  Kristin Gist director for Developmental Services, and fellow artist Matthew Perdoni, this extraordinary collaboration of art, emotion, and aspiration has finally come to fruition.
