About: This painting comes from moments that have become a lot more common over time. things that once felt unusual slowly became familiar, not because they matter less, but because they happen more often. I wanted to paint the people living through these moments. Painting lets me slow that moment down and ask what it means when something becomes part of everyday life. In Plain Sight isn't asking the viewer to reach a specific conclusion, its asking the viewer to spend time with the scene that has become familiar and consider what becomes visible when we chose not to look away.
