"It's hard to put down in words, something to say about someone you hadn't ever expected to be gone. When they are taken away without any warning, you are left with a void you were completely unprepared for. You are left scrambling for tiny bits to hang on to. Being a photographer, Greg leaves behind a volume of images that will now stand to describe who he was. They weren't taken with any sense of immediacy or for any posterity, just simply moments he chose to capture along the way. His voice in my head is like an echo. 

That's why I chose the photo of the sidewalk outside of the Sugar Press building. I remember the protest before that shot was taken. Even saw those signs that same day. More important for us, that spot is where we spent many days talking about regular things.”
